またにしても問題。。。Problem again

久しぶりのブログ更新～～～とりえず「あけましておめでとうございます。今年もよろしくお願いします。」
さて、バイトなり研究なりあれこれでずいぶん忙しかったです。といってもブログ更新できないほど忙しかったわけでもないです。実はあまり更新する気分にならなかったからです。人ってこんなときもあるものです。

最近またカンボジアとタイの間で熱～い感情が再発みたいです。プリア　ウィヒア遺跡の世界遺産登録に関することです（the nation's news）。 歴史問題は難しいですね。タイ人から見ればプリア　ウィヒア遺跡はタイのものだったというでしょうね。国際裁判が下したカンボジアのものという判決はタイ 人には未だに受け止めていないでしょう。軍の高官まで「カンボジアはタイの領域を奪おうとしている」っていう発言までした。僕に言わせますと「バカヤロ ウ！カンボジアは自分のものを大切にしたい、活用したいだけだよっ。」
その延長線として最近タイにいるユーザ（おそらくタイ人だけど）がクメール語のwikipediaを削除しているというなんてばかばかしい行動が起こっています。何なんでしょうね。そんなことして「タイ人は汚い手ばかり使っている」と思われるのが恐れないですかね～
今 回の事件から、タイの教育はどんなものかがちょっと見えてきた気がします。（あくまでも予測ですが）おそらくタイの教科書ではカンボジア全土が昔タイのも のだと言うのでしょうね。教科書以外はあんな軍の高官まで狂わせるものがないでしょう。これだけ発展したタイという国なら学者がたくさんいるはずですし、 もっと第三者の視点で歴史を学んでほしいですね。そしたら真実というのを伝えてほしいです。僕は歴史学者でもなんでもないですが、日本に来た当初、ある世 界史の教科書を日本語学校で読んでみました。そしたら、ちゃんと「クメール帝国」の地図も載っていたし、カンボジアの変化の経過なども書いていました。も ちろん英語の教科書でしたが。まぁ、シアムリアプという名称からもなんとなくわかりますよね。
歴史ってどれだけ意味があるのでしょう？もちろんタ イ人だけでなく一部の過激派というのはどこの国にも存在します、もちろんカンボジアにも。しかし、過激派を生み出したのもまた誤った歴史の教え方だと僕は 思います。そしてまた過激派による歴史が生まれて、どんどん悪い歴史しか残らず、いい歴史が忘れていくものです。お互い認め合い、お互いがんばればいいの になぁ～

Preah Vihear Problem

Happy (belated) new year! First post after about 3 months of absence. Well, it's not only I was so busy (of course I am too busy now that s.o called me workalcoholic) it's not that I didn't have time to update blog, but I was not in the feeling of updating blog. Many things came in to my life...
Well well... that's life. Anyway, recently as you may know, the problem of Preah Vihear temple came up again after Cambodian government prepare for applying the temple as world heritage （the nation's news）. Thai's military officer said publicly something about this. The problem seems to be solved between leader of the two countries but it is not over yet among people.
Articles in Khmer wikipedia was deleted by an anonymous user from Thai (perhaps he/she is thai). What a foolish action! What did he earn from this foolish action???
Well, from this incident I found some view on Thai's history book. There may be something untrue history was teached in Thai school. Because of this, even high rank officer said such thing.

Thai is a developed country. Compare to Cambodia, Thai is a modern country with high level of economic potential. There should be more scholars than in Cambodia. Why don't they try to research more about the history from the view of third person? And then they should update their history to a true one. I know history might not be changed easily. But we should learn from japanese people. What did they write in the history book? Of course the mistake they did during the world war II.
Well, history is only something happened in the past. Why people try to live toward the past? Why don't they try to learn about the future? I agree that history is very important for a nation, but it should be used to build the future. If you just keep on looking back to find something lost hundreds of year ago, don't you think it is a foolish action? Why can't we accept each other and share living each other? It should be possible.
